Trainee Metalworker

Are you almost finished with school or have you just received your diploma? Do you want to learn a technical trade with plenty of job opportunities? We are looking for a trainee metalworker for a client in Hoogeveen. This is an ideal role for BBL students, VMBO Metal students, practical education students, or MBO school leavers who enjoy working with their hands and want to build a future in engineering.

Description

As a trainee metalworker, you will have the chance to explore various disciplines within metal technology. Together with experienced colleagues, you will learn to work with modern machines and discover where your talents lie. You can progress towards roles such as welder, brake press operator, assembler, or machine operator. During your work, you will learn to read technical drawings, process materials, and perform quality checks. You will receive good guidance and gradually take on more responsibility as you advance in the trade. No day is the same, and you will work on a variety of products for different clients within the industry.

Requirements

• You have an interest in engineering and metalworking;
• You are following a technical course or have recently completed one;
• You are eager to learn and motivated to master a trade;
• You work accurately and have a good work ethic;
• You are available for 32 to 40 hours per week.

What we offer

• A salary between €14.06 and €16.00 gross per hour depending on age, education and experience;
• A position for 32 to 40 hours per week;
• Payment on a weekly or four-weekly basis;
• Opportunity to follow a BBL programme or continue learning within engineering;
• Plenty of opportunities to progress towards welder, folder, assembler or machine operator roles.
