Thatcher

Do you enjoy working outdoors, at height, and being able to see exactly what you have made at the end of the day? We are looking for a thatcher to join a thatching company in Havelte. Do you not yet have all the experience, but do you have technical insight and the motivation to learn the trade? We would still love to hear from you.

Description

As a thatcher, you will work alongside experienced colleagues installing, maintaining and renovating thatched roofs. You will work at various locations, and no roof is the same. You will ensure the thatch is applied neatly and assist with preparatory work on the roof. You will use a range of hand tools and materials. Working safely is important, as you will be working at height every day. Have you got little experience? You will have the opportunity to learn the trade in practice and develop further into an independent thatcher.

Requirements

• You have experience in construction or are motivated to learn the thatching trade;
• You are physically fit and have no problem working at height;
• You are practical and enjoy working with your hands;
• You are reliable, eager to learn and work well as part of a team;
• A category B driving licence and VCA are an advantage.

What we offer

• A salary between €18,00 and €22,00 gross per hour, depending on your age, knowledge and experience and in accordance with the CAO Bouw & Infra;
• A full-time job with the prospect of a long-term position;
• Payment on a weekly or 4-weekly basis;
• The opportunity to further learn the thatching trade and gain qualifications or certificates;
• Working on attractive and varied projects in the region.
