Support Coach
Do you thrive on working with people and enjoy giving someone that little bit of extra attention? For an organisation in the healthcare sector, we are looking for a Support Coach for 16 to 24 hours per week. You will guide clients during short, accessible sessions and ensure they feel comfortable, perform the exercises correctly and keep track of their progress. This role is specifically not about delivering intensive training or working with large groups. The exercises are straightforward and personal attention is central. You pay close attention to what someone is doing, record their results and chat with them easily as you go. Working hours are mainly in the morning and at the end of the afternoon. This makes the role easy to combine with, for example, a course, another job or your own business. You will be employed directly by the client.
Description
As a Guide, you work with a maximum of two clients at a time. This gives you plenty of opportunity for personal contact and attention.
Your responsibilities include:
Guiding clients during short sessions
Monitoring whether exercises are performed correctly
Keeping track of training data and progress
Motivating clients in a positive way
Building a friendly and personal connection
Identifying when someone needs additional explanation or attention
Ensuring a tidy and relaxed environment
The method and exercises are clear, so you do not need to devise complicated training programmes yourself. Your role is mainly about paying close attention, providing guidance, making contact and ensuring that each person completes their session in a comfortable way.
Because you work with a maximum of two clients at a time, you get to know them well. Many clients return every week and value the personal contact just as much as the session itself.
Requirements
You are sociable and find it easy to connect with people
You enjoy guiding people
You are a good listener and show genuine interest
You work accurately and keep good records
You are reliable and able to work independently
You have an affinity with health and exercise
A sports qualification or experience as a trainer is not required
You are available for 8 to 16 hours per week
What we offer
A part-time role of 16 to 24 hours per week
Working hours mainly in the morning and at the end of the afternoon
Easy to combine with your studies, another job or your own business
Directly employed by the client
Internal guidance and training
Lots of personal contact with regular customers
A small-scale and supportive working environment
Room to continue developing yourself
About the client
You will join an organisation that helps people work on their health and fitness in an accessible way.
The customers are mainly entrepreneurs and professionals with busy schedules, alongside private customers. They consciously choose a personal approach and a set time each week.
You will work in a small-scale environment with plenty of personal contact. There are no large groups and no busy gym where you have to approach people all day. Instead, you will build a relationship with a regular group of customers and see their progress up close.
More information
Are you looking for a part-time role involving lots of contact with people that fits well around your other commitments? Then this could be an interesting opportunity for you.
You do not need to be a sports instructor or have extensive knowledge of fitness. Being good with people, paying attention to others and working accurately are much more important.
During the process, we will work with you to map out your experience, preferences and availability.
